Night Of The Vinyl Dead, a record label run by four vinyl crazy guys in Italy. They print licensed vinyl versions of out of print records and records never released on vinyl.
Their work includes releases of bands like Exodus, Kreator, Saxon, Annihilator and others. The records are often pressed on coloured vinyl and/or include inserts, very nice for the eye… Great collector items as they are always released in limited editions.
There are three Mercyful Fate albums and one King Diamond disc released by Night of the Vinyl Dead.
The first MF/KD disc to be released was the King Diamond “Collectors edition” EP. A white vinyl 12”, hand numbered 500 copies. Release date: September 2007.
Mercyful Fate’s “Into the Unknown” was released with sunset vinyl, a nice black / orange sunset colour. This was hand numbered 500 copies as well. Release date: December 2007.
The next one, Mercyful Fate’s “Time”, came out February 2008. This was released on White Splatter vinyl. Limited to 500 copies and hand numbered.
In July 2008 they released a vinyl version of Mercyful Fate’s “The Bell Witch” with the Mercyful Fate logo and the title etched in the vinyl on one side and the songs on the other. 500 hand numbered copies released.
A couple of MF/KD related records have also been released:
One 7” single with Motörhead with Mikkey Dee, “Whorehouse Blues” (Picture disc with clear vinyl, 500 hand numbered copies.) Released October 2008.
And one album with Arch Enemy with Sharlee D’Angelo, “Burning Bridges” (Hand numbered, limited editon 333 copies.) Released November 2007.
All of these are sold out from the company, so if you can get your hands on these great discs, I can recommend you the buy them. Licensed Vinyls done by vinyl-fans from Italy, very well done collectors items.
